Information we collect
When you create an account, we store your name, email, password hash, timezone and reminder preference. We store the dog profiles and assessment answers you submit, business application details, support messages and submitted questions. At account creation we also record your browser user agent, coarse device/browser type, browser language and reported time zone for account support. Country is optional and self-reported, not a verified location. A first-party cookie holds the browser context for up to 30 minutes. We also keep security rate-limit records, operational event counts and administrator audit records.
Pet-service offer clicks
When you follow a Groupon offer link, we record the offer, time, IP address, browser user agent, coarse browser/device type, language and browser-reported time zone if available. We use a local IP database for approximate country, region and city; this is not GPS or a verified location. IP addresses are encrypted in storage and available only to authorized administrators. Click details are deleted after 30 days. A daily pseudonymous identifier helps estimate repeat visits; it does not identify a person. Administrator, recognizable bot and marked test traffic are reported separately. Clicks do not establish purchases or commission. We do not send these IP addresses or user agents as custom Google Analytics event parameters.
Dog-friend introductions
If you opt in, we store your breed interest, country, conversation language, introduction and matching preferences. Your name, country and introduction are shown to a proposed match. Your email is shared with that person only after both of you accept the specific introduction. You can pause matching and cancel pending invitations from your account. Contact details already shared cannot be recalled. Reports are reviewed by our administrator. This feature is for adults aged 18 or over.
How we use it
We use this information to provide accounts, save profiles, assess a training starting point, review businesses, manage support and protect the service. Email reminders are optional. We do not sell dog-parent profiles or use assessment answers to personalise advertisements.
Cookies and analytics
51LA and Google Analytics measure page visits, referrals and device information after the first interaction or a short delay. Authenticated administrator sessions and recognised automated QA sessions are excluded from collection. 51LA session recording and automatic event tracking are disabled. A first-party session cookie is needed for sign-in and form security. No advertising scripts are currently installed.
Service providers and transfers
Our hosting provider stores the site and database. If configured, an email delivery provider processes the address and message required for delivery. Google Analytics and 51LA process visit information automatically. Providers may process information outside your country. We will update this notice before materially changing these uses.
Retention and requests
We retain account and profile information while the account is active and as needed to resolve support or protect the service. You may request access, correction, export or deletion through the contact form. We will verify your authority before releasing data. Security records and legal obligations may require limited retention; we will explain any applicable restriction.
Children
PupNudge accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or over. Do not submit children’s personal information or identifying images.
Contact and identity
Use the PupNudge contact form for privacy questions. Stripe processes subscription payments and billing details under its own privacy notice. We store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers and payment status, not full card numbers. Merchant information is shown during the payment process.
