JERSEY CITY · THE CITY FIELD GUIDE

Jersey City.
Plan the sleepover.
And the trip home.

Confirm where a Jersey City sleepover is collected, what a groom includes, which training package fits reactivity, and how to reach the Hoboken ER.

Your weekday daycare door, overnight address and shuttle schedule may be three different arrangements. Settle the return journey before confirming the stay.

Start with the collection address at Communipaw Avenue

Allforthewag says all sleepovers and weekend services take place at 333 Communipaw Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07304. Its 205 15th Street, Jersey City, NJ 07310 location is closed on weekends. The provider's location and booking information should therefore be part of your travel plan, even if you normally use the other door.

The published sleepover rate is $74.99 for 24 hours; collection beyond that period adds half- or full-day playcare. Ask for your precise arrival and departure times in the quote. A stay crossing two calendar dates is not automatically the same as two chargeable nights.

The weekday shuttle has windows of 7–9 a.m. and 5–7 p.m., with no transport on weekends or holidays. Arrange your own return journey if your collection falls outside that service. New clients apply before booking; monthly meet-and-greets and a response that may take weeks make this unsuitable to assume as an immediate first-time booking. Ask [email protected] about admission and the handover.

Write the collection address beside the departure date in your own itinerary. If someone else is collecting, give them the confirmed location and ask the provider how to authorize that person. A booking confirmation is more useful than a saved business name without a door or time.

Confirm the grooming door as well as the haircut

Liberty Bark publishes haircuts at $85–$170, including a bath, drying, full-body haircut, nails and ear cleaning. Its grooming menu separately lists dematting at $25 per 30 minutes and a 3% card-payment fee. Describe the coat and desired finish when requesting your dog's total; this range is not a fixed quote for every dog.

The business website identifies its office at 144 1st Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302. Its Journal Square page promotes another location at 25 Senate Place and says “Grand Opening on October 31st,” without stating a year in that headline. Confirm the intended location and actual operating date before traveling. An opening promotion does not establish that the new door is accepting your appointment today.

Ask [email protected] to confirm the address, start time, collection arrangement and any extra coat work together. Do not put a grooming appointment at one location into a care itinerary that assumes another.

A walking package excludes leash reactivity

Van Den Dogs serves Jersey City, Hoboken and Manhattan. Its services page distinguishes a leash-walking package from a reactivity package; they are not interchangeable ways to buy more walks.

The $500 leash package has one in-person lesson plus five 45-minute trainer-and-dog walks, expiring one month after the first session. The provider explicitly excludes dogs dealing with leash reactivity from this package. Its $550 reactivity package instead includes one Zoom meeting and three in-person sessions, with updates between sessions and a six-month expiry.

Describe what actually happens: pulling toward a smell, becoming excited at a greeting, or barking and lunging at passing dogs are details the trainer needs to choose an appropriate service. Ask for that assessment before paying for the cheaper package. The number of walks alone does not tell you whether the plan addresses your difficulty.

The FAQ explains that private sessions occur at home and include follow-up notes. It also sets out cancellation terms: at least 48 hours' notice allows rescheduling without an extra charge; cancellation within that window forfeits 50% of the session fee. Confirm the actual appointment dates and package terms directly.

Keep the waterfront outing on leash

If your plan includes Liberty State Park, the New Jersey park information requires pets to remain under the owner's control on a leash no longer than six feet. Bring waste bags and check the park's notices for the day rather than treating open lawns as an off-leash alternative to daycare.

A short walk can be part of your day without becoming another complicated booking. Choose a duration and distance your dog can comfortably manage, allow space around other visitors and keep the return route practical. This research has not checked today's construction access, weather or path conditions.

Save the Hoboken emergency address before you need it

VEG Hoboken lists emergency care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays, at 1327 Willow Avenue, Hoboken, NJ 07030. Call 201-630-0636; its local hospital page accepts walk-ins without an appointment.

The page directs drivers to the Trader Joe's parking lot on Willow Street and says the hospital validates parking. Ask for help if moving the dog from the vehicle is difficult. Save directions with your carer's notes. This hospital is in Hoboken; no travel-time or immediate-capacity guarantee is implied.
