BUFFALO · THE CITY FIELD GUIDE
Buffalo.
The temporary run.
The occasional stay.
Follow the temporary dog-park directions at Buffalo's waterfront, check which boarding rate applies to an occasional guest, and save the Tonawanda ER.
An old LaSalle Park listing and a boarding member rate can both lead you astray. Check which entrance and which admission category actually apply.

Use the conservancy's temporary dog-park directions
For the waterfront run associated with the old LaSalle Park, start with Ralph Wilson Park Conservancy's dog-park page. It directs visitors to a temporary dog park on the 4th Street side during construction and lists hours from dawn to dusk. Follow its directions link and current notices rather than relying on an old saved pin for the Barkyard.
The same page describes improvements planned for the remodeled park. Those descriptions do not establish that every promised fountain, shelter or separate space is already available at the temporary run. Check the actual entrance, gates and notices when you arrive, and bring what your dog needs for the visit.
The conservancy's park rules require dogs to be controlled and leashed outside the designated dog park, with waste removed. The 24-hour access mentioned for fishing is not a 24-hour dog-run schedule. If you arrive after the dog park closes, use another lawful plan rather than extending that exception to your dog outing.
An occasional boarding guest does not automatically get the $64 rate
Fetch n' Catch is at 6517 Transit Road, Suite 1, Bowmansville, NY 14026, outside Buffalo. Its boarding menu lists $64 for daycare members, $74 for Day Camp/Paws members and $84 for nonmembers, per dog per 24-hour period. Member pricing requires attendance in the relevant care services at least once monthly. Ask which category applies to your dog.
A new dog must pass a meet-and-greet before boarding can be reserved. The evaluation costs $35 and booking it does not guarantee a boarding space. Call 716-901-7618 well before the travel date.
Collection beyond the 24-hour period is prorated, and peak charges may apply. Published boarding handovers are weekdays 7 a.m.–7 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.–4 p.m. and Sunday 4–7 p.m., with limited holiday hours. Confirm a dated total and actual pickup window. The provider states that staff are on site overnight; discuss your dog's care needs and emergency arrangements directly.
For an occasional trip, price the stay you actually need. Regular attendance may serve a useful purpose for your dog, but booking extra visits solely to unlock a headline boarding rate is a separate cost and commitment.
The deshedding addition needs a bath or groom beneath it
Fetch n' Catch's salon menu offers a bath package with brushing, drying, nails and ear cleaning; a full groom adds a haircut. Both are quoted by breed. Its $15 Shed Less treatment is an addition to a bath or groom, not a complete $15 appointment.
If coordinating grooming with boarding, ask staff to confirm the finish, total and pickup time together. Supply the requested health records and explain any previous handling difficulty. A haircut requires its own booking decision even when the dog is already staying at the same address.
Amherst Street and Harlem Road are different class destinations
Dog Days of Buffalo's training schedule lists a Tuesday November 3 Puppy Kindergarten at 6:30–7:30 p.m. at its Amherst Street facility. Its course information describes Puppy Kindergarten as six weeks for puppies up to six months old. Confirm the intended course year, dates and available space before paying.
The Amherst Street address is 632 Amherst Street, Buffalo, NY 14207. Other classes use 3740 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga, NY 14215, or the Genesee Street facility in Cheektowaga. Match the location on your course confirmation; the provider's name does not make every lesson an Amherst Street lesson.
Call 716-886-3647 or email [email protected] for pricing and suitability. The provider also describes a five-week Barky Dog course for barking and lunging on leash. Explain the behavior you need help with so the trainer can distinguish a basic skills course from a more specific plan.
Save the Tonawanda emergency address
Green Acres Veterinary Center lists emergency service open 24/7 at 2060 Niagara Falls Boulevard, Tonawanda, NY 14150, 716-694-0122. Save the contact information and directions with your carer's instructions.
The same contact page lists separate wellness and business hours, including Sunday closure. That schedule does not replace its stated emergency hours. Call about the current situation when possible; published availability is not a guarantee of immediate capacity or every specialist on duty.
