A Friday-to-Sunday example starts at $108 for a dog under 50 pounds

Pinebush Kennels lists a daily rate of $35 for dogs under 50 pounds, effective April 1, 2026. It charges the arrival day in full and charges the departure day for Sunday collection. A hypothetical Friday arrival and Sunday departure therefore has three $35 days, plus the listed $3 waste fee per visit: $108 before other applicable charges.

The rates and information page places Sunday pickup at 6–7 p.m. by appointment. Its general morning departure allowance does not remove Sunday's charge. Call 518-456-0700 for the actual dates, weight category, extras and handover agreement.

The facility is at 274 New Karner Road, in the Colonie/Pinebush area. Its weekday office closes noon–2 p.m.; Saturday reception is morning only. Give the person collecting your dog the confirmed time rather than assuming that overnight boarding creates an all-day reception desk.

The example is a way to read this provider's units, not a recommendation to select accommodation by price alone. Describe the dog's feeding, medication, rest and contact needs, and ask what the daily routine includes. Get the final amount and cancellation terms for your stay before paying.

A midday pickup in Latham needs advance planning

Must Love Pawz, at 9 Northway Lane North, Latham, NY 12110, lists weekday daycare handovers from 6:30 a.m.–noon and 3–7:30 p.m. Its daycare page therefore leaves a noon–3 p.m. gap in the normal handover schedule. Confirm an arrangement directly if your shift ends or appointment starts in that period.

The published single-dog day rate is $36.30 before sales tax. Pickup from 7:30–9 p.m. on weekdays adds $7 per accommodation. Call 518-786-7257 to confirm your dog's admission and collection plan.

The provider describes morning and afternoon play sessions with rest between them, plus a one-to-one option for dogs not joining other dogs. Explain what your dog can comfortably manage and ask how that option is arranged. A longer reception day should not be understood as uninterrupted group play.

October 31 orientation is at 11 a.m., without the dog

Mohawk Hudson Humane Society lists a Basic Obedience course starting October 31, 2026, with routine Saturday meetings at 1–2 p.m. Its training page gives a different first-meeting instruction: orientation at 11 a.m. on October 31, without dogs. The six-week course skips November 28.

The course costs $180 and is described for dogs five months or older. Unless otherwise noted, classes meet in the community room at 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands. Confirm the complete schedule, suitability and remaining places with [email protected] or 518-434-8128 before enrolling. The listed 15% discount is for MHHS alumni, not a general discount.

The posted policy offers no refunds. Check the orientation and every later date against your travel plans. A course listing is useful for planning; it does not show that your individual registration has been accepted.

Washington Park remains a leashed outing

Washington Park Conservancy welcomes dogs but states that there is no sanctioned dog park there and leash laws apply throughout. Its visit information places the park between Madison Avenue and State Street, and North Lake Avenue and Willett Street, with sunrise-to-sunset hours.

Do not turn an informal gathering of loose dogs into permission to unclip yours. If your purpose is off-leash exercise, choose a designated facility after checking the city's parks information and local signs. A walk in Washington Park can serve a different purpose: time outside on a manageable route with room to keep distance from distractions.

Book the haircut at the correct Washington Avenue address

For a salon appointment, PetSmart's Albany grooming page identifies Crossgates Commons at 161 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY 12205, 518-452-5683. It offers baths, full grooms and haircuts, but does not publish a specific price for your dog's appointment on that location page.

Request the coat work you need and a total that identifies any extra handling or matting work. Confirm the time and pickup arrangements. This shopping-center salon address is separate from Washington Park, and a generic list of other company services does not confirm an overnight booking at that store.

Emergency care and specialty hours are explicitly different at Upstate

Upstate Veterinary Specialties, 152 Sparrowbush Road, Latham, NY 12110, lists emergency service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Save 518-783-3198, its hours and contact information and directions.

The published specialty schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m., subject to holiday changes. The hospital also explicitly notes that specialty services and advanced imaging are not available 24/7. Call about the current care needed; an emergency hospital being open does not mean every specialist procedure is immediately available.
